Wisconsin Needs Independence From Scott Walker, By The Numbers

[Updated Saturday, 12:50 a.m., from Friday, 11:27 a.m.] Here are ten eleven key numbers to keep in mind when assessing Scott Walker's performance, or lack of same.

As he said of the promises he made when running for Milwaukee County Executive in 2002 - -  write these down, put them on your refrigerator and hold him accountable:

*  Ranking in Wisconsin Tea Party history and importance, according to himself - -  #I.

*  Walker is also #1 in modern-day America gubernatorial defense funds created, gubernatorial defense fund dollars raised and spent, Wisconsin gubernatorial John Doe probes.

* Another #1 rating for most-clicked PolitiFact item for June. And wouldn't you know it was for a statement by Walker, rated "False," that the John Doe probe was all over and resolved.

*  Number of short-distance trips in state aircraft between Madison and Milwaukee at taxpayer expense in a recent, short period, 44.

* Number of previous Wisconsin governors also named Scott in ethics trouble for misuse of state aircraft. One.

*  Ranking in state-by-state job growth, 37th.

* The jobs-creation number Walker said he would tattoo on the foreheads of his cabinet members: 250,000.

* 'Progress' towards meeting the forehead pledge - - 40%. That's what happens when you enforce austerity, cut public employees wages and thus tamp down main street consumer spending and spin-off job creation.

*  The number of Walker cabinet secretaries sporting the tattoo: 0.

*  Number of state-projected Milwaukee-Madison Amtrak rail construction jobs lost in 2012 after Walker rejected federal rail funding - - (not counting train assembly jobs, permanent train operating positions, or spin-off employment) - -  4,732.

*  In book sale rankings,  according to Amazon.com., 119,263rd.

How much money have the taxpayers paid for State Patrol officers to park in the drive way of Walker's Wauwatosa vacant home 365 days a year? For the party that wants to privatize everything, couldn't this have been done, (if it's really needed) by a private security company?

Does a squad sit there all day long and nobody is there? We need pictures of that!

You're darn right the State Patrol is there. I drive by quite often. Makes my blood boil.

Maybe Walker should have carved "250,000" into their foreheads a la "Inglorious Bastards" - an apt title indeed.
